IP Litigation from a US and European perspective

This seminar provides insights into the impact of disputes with respect to intellectual property (patents, copyrights, ...) for EU companies with a focus on US Litigation practices and a comparison with Europe and Belgium. Starting off with the court structure, the role of the jury and the scope determination of IP rights, the course further focuses on procedures for discovery and the calculation of damages. The role of the different actors in the process will be described.
