LEUVEN MINDGATE

Leuven.Inc workshop 'The road to more agility and predictability with Lean and Kanban'

Lean and Agile booster workshop

Agility is becoming more and more a strategic weapon in markets that are characterized by volatility, uncertainty and change. Innovation needs to happen in increasingly shorter cycles. Product development must be driven by the impact that is made on the users and customers. Organizations need to react quickly on rapidly changing circumstances.

Agility in itself is not the whole solution. The need for predictability and efficient and disciplined execution remain high:
a) existing products must be efficiently maintained
b) operating at a larger scale requires discipline
c) customers expect a reliable partner that keeps his/her promises (i.e. is predictable).
Success is determined by the capability to deal with the apparent conflict between agility and predictability.

Why this workshop?

By attending this seminar, managers in technology businesses and knowledge workers active in the technology sector will get a hands-on experience on how to integrate agile approaches into their existing project, programme and quality management practices (including existing stage gate processes). Participants will learn how to use lean and second generation agile techniques to improve both agility as well as predictability. Through simulation and exercises, participants will get a hands-on experience with lean and agile and will have ample opportunity to reflect on how these techniques apply in their own work environment.
