LEUVEN MINDGATE

Visionary seminar: 'The opportunities of the renewable energy market'

The visionary seminars are a joint initiative of Leuven.Inc and IMEC. They aim to sensibilize a broad audience on new technologies that will influence our daily life in the years to come.
This seminar is also supported by the Agoria Renewable Energy Club and Generaties.

There is a strong consensus in the scientific world regarding the need to base 50% to 80% of our energy use on zero-emission sources and this at the latest for 2050 - 2100, in order to control widespread climatic problems.
The most important factor of this enormous challenge is the renewable energy technology, which during the next several decennia will probably lead to a double digit growth for this extraordinary economic market.
This visionary workshop develops a strategy on a European and international level, offering handholds from different fields of expertise and market positions to companies wishing to access this growth sector.
