Launch Event 'Leuven Medical Technology Centre'

De onderzoeksgroepen van het Leuven Medical Technology Centre nodigen u graag uit op het launch event van Leuven-MTC op donderdag 21 februari 2008 vanaf 14u30 in de Universiteitshal (Jubileumzaal), Naamsestraat 22, Leuven.

The research groups of the Leuven Medical Technology Centre kindly invite you to the launch event of Leuven-MTC on Thursday February 21, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. in the University Hall (Jubileumzaal), Naamsestraat 22, Leuven.

Leuven-MTC
Leuven-MTC is een interfacultair samenwerkingsverband dat een grote kritische massa aan onderzoek en ontwikkeling in medische technologie bundelt, en staat voor een unieke combinatie van competentie en know-how. Leuven-MTC creëert een faciliterende link tussen onderzoeksgroepen binnen de Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, de Universitaire Ziekenhuizen en de Associatie K.U.Leuven. Het centrum brengt meer dan 40 onderzoeksgroepen verspreid over 6 faculteiten samen, en heeft een potentieel van meer dan 1000 onderzoekers. De activiteiten zijn toegespitst op multidisciplinaire samenwerkingsthema's binnen Leuven- MTC, in nauwe interactie met industrie en andere instituten.

Leuven-MTC brings together a large critical mass in medical technology research and development, and stands for a unique combination of competence and know-how. It was created as an intergroup collaborative centre, providing a coordinating link between research groups within the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, the University Hospitals and the K.U.Leuven Association. The centre is composed of more than 40 research groups spread over 6 faculties, involving more than 1000 researchers. The activities are focused on themes of multidisciplinary collaboration within Leuven-MTC, in close interaction with industry and other institutes.

- 13:00 Internal introduction (K.U.Leuven, U.Z.Leuven and press only)
Presentation of Leuven-MTC by posters and demonstrations. A sandwich lunch will be served in the exhibition area.
- 14:30 Medical Technology Exhibit
Leuven-MTC will present its research activities by posters and demonstrations. There will be ample opportunity to meet the individual professors and researchers.

Venue
The launch event will be held in University Hall, Naamsestraat 22, Leuven. Look for the signs 'Leuven-MTC Launch Event'. The medical technology exhibition will take place in the 'Jubileumzaal'; the academic session will take place in the 'Promotiezaal'.
