Workshop Functional safety validation – challenges and innovative solutions

Functional safety validation – challenges and innovative solutions. This workshop is organized in the framework of the FMTC project Experimental Validation for Safety Integrity Level (VAL4SIL) and will be held at FMTC, Leuven, on 14th May 2014 starting at 13:00 p.m.Additional to the presentations of companies participating in the VAL4SIL project, two invited speakers will share their experiences on respectively model-based functional safety and reliability assessment using FIDES.

The objective of the workshop is to highlight challenges faced currently by industry for functional reliability and safety assessment, more specifically for verification and validation of reliability / safety requirements, and propose innovative solutions to deal with some of these challenges. Lessons learned from the VAL4SIL project will be presented.  Different industries will also share their experiences related to reliability / safety analysis.

Target audience: reliability engineers, (functional) safety engineers, design engineers, test & validation engineers, maintenance engineers, technical directors, asset managers, researchers in/interested to the field of reliability, functional safety analysis & assessment.
