Speakers
Keynote speaker Ronald Leenes will open the day, followed by interactive sessions together with Anders Albrechtslund, Bettina Berendt, Joseph Bonneau, Dave Clarke, Claudia Diaz, Gloria González Fuster, Koen Gorissen, Eva Lievens, Giuseppe Lugano, Frank Piessens and Cedric De Vleeschauwer.

Outline:
Online Social Networks have become an important part of daily digital interactions for more than half a billion users around the world. The various personal information sharing practices that online social network providers promote have led to their success as innovative social interaction platforms. At the same time, these practices have raised much critique and concerns with respect to privacy and security from different stakeholders.

Addressing these privacy and security concerns in online social networks results in research challenges, but:
- What exactly are those challenges?
- What problems exist?
- Which existing security and privacy tools can be applied to address existing concerns?
- Which tools need to be developed in the future?
- Are existing legal frameworks able to address raised concerns?
- Where do they fail to meet the needs of the social networking communities and those who do not participate in them?
- What social practices lead to some of the existing problems and which ones exist or can be promoted to develop community privacy and security practices?
- How can we develop holistic perspectives and endeavor multi-disciplinary studies on privacy and security in social networks that can transcend techno, legal or human centric approaches?

The objective of this one day workshop is:
to bring together representatives from the industry as well as researchers and practitioners from law, computer science, social sciences working in the field of social networks together with an interested audience.
We will discuss what current privacy and security concerns are, envision future social networks in which these concerns can be addressed, and explore what research challenges exist or may arise from those visions.
