Kick-off event Cleantech Challenge 2013

Organized by Academics For Companies (KU Leuven) and Vlerick Business school. Supported by Leuven.Inc and Leuven Research and Development.

The CleanTech Challenge is a business idea competition focused on the “clean tech” domain, meaning that ideas need to have a positive impact on the environment while being economically and technically realizable. In order to win this competition, you will work together with engineering and business students in multidisciplinary teams.

If your team wins the national CleanTech Challenge, you will have the honour to represent Belgium at the European finals in London!

During this evening the outline of the Clean Tech Challenge will be introduced, interesting guest speakers will be hosted (for instance Marc Lambrechts (Capricorn) and Bart Vercoutere (i-cleantech vzw)) and you will get the chance to network and enjoy a few drinks at the reception afterwards. We also foresee a speeddating session where students with a technical background can get in touch with business students to form teams.

• 19h00: Registration and seating
• 19h30: Presentations by Bart Vercoutere (Director i-Cleantech), Marc Lambrechts (Senior Investment Manager Capricorn) and Antoon Soete (Business Manager 3E Renewable energy solutions)
• 20h15: Outline Cleantech Challenge
• 20h25: Presentation by Hendrik Vansompel (TrAXI), winner Cleantech Chanllenge 2012
• 20h40: Start reception and speeddating
