German – Belgian Energiewende Symposium

German-Belgian symposium on Energy.

On Thursday, 20 September, the state of affairs in six key thematic areas will be discussed in a number of interactive academic workshops:

• Solar and wind energy
• Bio-energy
• Smart grids
• Energy storage
• Transportation and mobility
• Energy efficiency of buildings

On Friday 21 September, the conclusions of the workshops will be presented in an open debate with representatives of industry and policymakers from both countries:

• Presentation of summary findings of the thematic workshops of Day 1
• Industry point of view
• Policy makers point of view
• Open debate moderated by Prof. dr. Kurt Deketelaere (KU Leuven/League of European Research Universities) 
• Closing remarks by H.E. dr. Eckart Cuntz, Ambassador of Germany to Belgium
