Gimv appoints Koen Dejonckheere as CEO


the Board of Directors of GIMV appointed Koen Dejonckheere as the new CEO of GIMV, replacing Dirk Boogmans. It is expected that Koen Dejonckheere will start in his new function on 1 October 2008. Until that time President Herman Daems, as announced previously, will continue to take on the responsibilities of the President-CEO.

Koen Dejonckheere is Managing Director and head of Corporate Finance at KBC Securities until now. Before that he worked for Nesbic, Halder, Price Waterhouse Corporate Finance Europe and the former BBL, now ING. Dejonckheere has very broad experience as a dealmaker in investment banking and private equity. At KBC Securities he delivered a significant contribution to the European expansion of the corporate finance activities. Koen Dejonckheere has broad experience with businesses and industries in Belgium and abroad. In recent years he has become one of the authorities amongst investment bankers based in Belgium.

Dejonckheere is 39 years old, a civil engineer from the University of Ghent who obtained an MBA at IEFSI in Lille (FR).
