LMS extends its SCADAS Mobile front-end series

LMS extends its SCADAS Mobile front-end series with new 16-channel system and hyper-efficient E-series input modules

As the trend in testing continues to focus on tighter deadlines with significantly reduced resources, LMS continues to innovate and extend its comprehensive testing portfolio with new products like the LMS SCADAS Mobile 02 and hyper-efficient E-series input modules.

The latest LMS SCADAS Mobile 02 with its 16 channels is a powerful yet compact and lightweight data acquisition front-end, designed to be rugged and portable. Ideal for day-to-day usage in the field or the lab, this new mid-sized front-end can be directly connected to numerous noise, vibration and strain transducers as well as the CAN bus system for streamlined test data. It has a built-in GPS receiver that delivers instant and accurate input regarding time, speed and position. Modular, the LMS SCADAS Mobile 02 two-slot mainframe can be set up in a master-slave configuration with parallel signal processing to cover high-channel count tests.

Designed to take tediousness out of test set-ups, the new E-Series signal conditioning input modules eliminate manual input range settings and cumbersome trial-and-error channel set-ups. Working with the LMS SCADAS family, the E-series will not only speed up the test set-up process, it will also reduce errors by giving advanced LED measurement quality feedback on the hardware itself.

With more complex test requirements, engineers can't afford to compromise on quality either. To answer this, the E-series signal conditioning input modules offer a true 150dB dynamic range and a 204.8 kHz sampling rate to cover the most demanding advanced engineering applications. With this new hardware technology, experts can accurately measure a variety of applications and provide signal conditioning for voltage, ICP, charge, bridge, digital audio and conventional microphone transducers: all without an auto-ranging procedure.

'Following the success of the LMS SCADAS Durability Recorder -- an ideal tool for in-the-field noise, vibration and fatigue analysis, these two exciting new products continue to extend the LMS SCADAS family portfolio. Both the new mid-sized LMS SCADAS Mobile 02 mainframe and the new E-Series input modules will certainly help maximize in-house testing processes and resources - saving time and money,' said Mr. Bruno Massa, Vice President, LMS Test Division.

About the LMS SCADAS Durability Recorder

Launched last year, the LMS SCADAS Durability Recorder is a rugged instrument with true MIL-STD-810F compliancy. Its sturdy and robust design can stand up to the most diverse external climate conditions from -20°C to +55°C and is tested for 60gpk shock and 7.7grms vibration. The LMS SCADAS Durability Recorder contains no moving parts such as fans or hard discs reducing the risk of breaking down in the field. Its innovative cooling system made fan cooling obsolete. It is also available in a sealed version to resist dust and water according ingress protection code IP54.
