Brain atrophy is one of the parameters neurologist have to consider when monitoring MS progression. icometrix’ service MSmetrix gives neurologists new information to take even better informed decisions on treatment.  The recently published article analyses the compatibility with the different medical imaging systems and the need for standardization.

MSmetrix is a CE certified MRI-tool for the brain.  The service provides radiologists with the possibility to map brain atrophy and lesion growth in MS-patients.  The goal is to provide supplementary information to the MS specialists and help them make treatment decisions. C.E.O Dirk Loeckx: “MSmetrix delivers tangible proof in the form of clear figures and detailed visual reports that can also be used in patient-doctor conversations. 200 medical imaging centers from all over the world are currently using our solution.”

icometrix strives to bring their revolutionary research techniques into clinical practice.  To do so, the company invests a large part of its resources in research.  MSL Anke Maertens: “Our research and the resulting papers are a critical part of our efforts.  New technologies have to be grounded in research. In that way the publication in Brain and Behavior puts the crown on our work.”
