Babette Pettersen joins Capricorn Venture Partners as Chief Business Development Officer

Jos Peeters, Founder and Managing Partner of Capricorn Venture Partners, is pleased to announce that Babette Pettersen has joined the company in the newly created position of Chief Business Development Officer.

Babette will play a key role as Capricorn expands their franchise in the cleantech sector, through a new fund, their 6th venture capital fund, focused on sustainable chemistry, the Capricorn Sustainable Chemistry Fund (CSCF).

CSCF will capture growing opportunities emerging from a wave of innovation in novel feedstocks, efficient production processes, functional materials, food & feed products, fibers and transportation fuels. 

Prior to joining Capricorn Venture Partners, Babette was the Chief Commercial Officer for BioAmber Inc, a pioneer in sustainable chemicals. Babette has over 20 years' experience in the chemical industry, both at Royal DSM, and Dow Corning, which she will contribute to Capricorn’s new Sustainable Chemistry Fund and overall Cleantech portfolio.
