Jurgen Ingels joins Board of Directors of Option

Option (EURONEXT: OPTI; OTC: OPNVY), the company connecting Things to the Cloud, today announced that Jurgen Ingels has joined its Board of Directors as Independent Director replacing Olivier Lefebvre who’s mandate has ended.

Jurgen Ingels (44) is founding and managing partner of Smartfin Capital, a European Private Equity fund investing in Smart Technology growth companies. Previously, he was the founder and CFO of Clear2Pay, a leading payments technology company. Under his leadership, he grew the company to one of the world leaders in payment software with more than 1,200 employees in 14 countries. In 2012, Jurgen co-founded NGData, a leading big data company offering customer intelligence management software and services to track customer behaviour in real time. 

He started his career as Investment Manager with Dexia Ventures, where he focused on investing in early stage companies while taking a pro-active role in their business strategy, product launches and financial management. He currently holds Board positions at several technology companies such as Materialise, UnifiedPost, Guardsquare, NGData Itineris, etc. He was a member of the Sniper Investments’ Investment Committee since inception and is also member of the Vinnof Investment Committee of Participatiemaatschappij Vlaanderen (PMV) and Founder and Chairman of start-ups.be. Jurgen holds a Masters degree in Political and Social Sciences and an MBA from the University of Antwerp.
