Zensor scoops the MIT Innovator Under 35 Award for Belgium

On May 20th Zensor (http://www.zensor.be/) was awarded the very first MIT Innovators under 35 award for Belgium for its innovative monitoring concept.

Zensor is offering the analogue of a smart watch, but for infrastructure made of steel and/or concrete such as (offshore) wind turbines, petrochemical plants, bridges, dams, buried pipelines… Zensor is continuously looking at the vital signs of the assembly using a collection of different distributed sensors. All data is collected at a central place, complemented with operational data and environmental measurements. Powerful algorithms transform the data into reports providing an update on the state of health of the structure to the owners or operators. As such degradation is captured in an early stage and repairs can be conducted in the most cost-effective way: the ultimate tool for long-term risk reduction.

This award perfectly illustrates how Zensor is continuously striving for innovation such that our partners and customers can be sure their structures will be watched with state-of-the-art technology.

In its early growth stage Zensor was supported through the Leuven.Inc BITS project
