Partnership met Proximus

A few months ago, with particularly the needs of companies and governments in mind, fifthplay entered into a partnership with Proximus, the largest telecom operator in Belgium, who already supplies the internal connectivity for numerous companies and institutions. “In addition to numerous other end-to-end solutions, Proximus also offers its business customers our EnergySmart solution”, says Frédéric Haghebaert, partner manager at fifthplay. “Through our platform, Proximus customers can also monitor and adjust their consumption of electricity, gas, water and HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning) for each of their buildings – and all this via remote control, and automatically." “The fifthplay gateways feature a Proximus SIM card, which communicates directly with the fifthplay platform via 3G”, says Lieven de Wachter, M2M (Machine-to-Machine) marketing manager at Proximus. “This is perfectly in line with the Proximus strategy of developing new services in addition to ensuring connectivity.” EnergySmart is undoubtedly the ideal solution for companies and governments who are interested in a user-friendly and accessible way to obtain a clear understanding of their energy consumption in order to reduce their energy expenses. The investment for this type of projects is recovered in no more than 2 to 3 years.
