The International School of Leuven will open its doors on September 2

The city of Leuven, KU Leuven, IMEC and V.I.B. are teaming up to increase the international appeal of Leuven and to attract more foreign talent.

That’s why they are founding an international primary school. This school will offer education in English for children of foreign students, researchers and expatriates.

Leuven is a truly international city, first of all by the presence of the university and her spin-offs.

The group of foreigners that is currently either studying, working or living in the Leuven area has increased to approximately 10,000 people.

Often it concerns young families who stay in Leuven just for a couple of years.

These people are looking for appropriate quality education in English for their children.

Quite a lot of children of these families are currently enrolled in the more expensive international schools in Brussels.

The four partners in Leuven want to offer families a valuable alternative now.

We want pupils to integrate as much as possible into the local community and that’s why we have joined forces with a local partnerschool in Leuven, the Terbank primary school.

ISL will open its doors on September 2 and will offer pre-primary and primary education for children aged 2,5 until 12. ISL will work with the IPC-curriculum which is used in many international schools around the world.
