INSIDE Secure wins 2nd prize in Deloitte Technology Fast 5 Awards

The company’s revenues have soared by 318% since 2006, one of the best performances in the category of firms with turnovers of more than 10 million euros

Aix-en-Provence, November 21, 2011 - INSIDE Secure, a leader in semiconductor solutions for secure transactions and digital identity, won second prize in the Deloitte Technology Fast 5 Awards, which reward the fastest revenue growth by companies that had turnovers of 10 million euros or more in 2006.

INSIDE Secure’s rapid development in the five years from 2006 to 2010 saw its revenues increase by 318% to $78 million. The company now employs 355 people, half of whom are engaged in research and development, over five times as many as in 2006. INSIDE participated in the Cards & IDentification trade fair in Paris from November 15 to 17, where it presented a new chip designed to ensure the security of high-end consumer goods.

The Deloitte Technology Fast 5 is one of several categories in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 technology awards program, which was created in 2001 and rewards fast-growing technology companies. The different categories are the Fast 50, the Fast 5, the OSEO trophy, the NYSE Euronext trophy and sectorial prizes. As the chairman of Deloitte, Alain Pons explained that these prizes are aimed at French companies that have demonstrated “their ability to grow at a sustained and lasting pace.” The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 national awards ceremony took place in Paris on November 17.

INSIDE Secure had already picked up the jury’s “special achievement” prize in the Mediterranean region Fast 50 Awards this year. Before that, the company won the OSEO innovation prize in 2007 and the prize in the Semiconductors, Electronics and Components category in 2009.

The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 awards are open to all companies, whether publicly quoted or not, which meet the following criteria: possessing a patented technology, or manufacturing or supplying a technological product or service, or devoting a significant proportion of revenues to R&D; having its head office in France and not being more than 50% owned by another company; having completed at least five financial years; having a turnover of at least 50,000 euros in its 2006 financial year.
