Twitter uses technology from Flanders for new website

Acquia is the leading provider of commercial solutions for Drupal - a free, open-source software that powers millions of websites and online applications. It runs on industry-standard hosting platforms and connects to virtually all legacy systems. With a community of hundreds of thousands of users and developers, Drupal's success has spawned an enormous business ecosystem.

The new Twitter developer website, at dev.twitter.com, provides information, tools, assistance and support for the 750,000 developers across the Twitter ecosystem. It includes access to documents, APIs, tips, tutorials, a blog and forums designed to connect developers to the Twitter team and to one another. "Twitter has always been deeply supportive of open source efforts like Drupal", said Ryan Sarver, Twitter's Director of Platform. "We made the decision to go with Acquia because of their superior customization and flexibility.

Established in 2007, Acquia helps its customers manage their growth and scale their online properties with confidence, as the company has done already for nearly 1,500 organizations - including Al Jazeera, the World Economic Forum, Stanford University, the New York Senate and Daimler/Mercedes-Benz. Just recently, Acquia completed a USD 15 million financing round to accelerate international expansion - particularly in Europe. (source: http://datanews.be)
