Leuven, Belgium -- Materialise is celebrating its 20th anniversary in a big way! For the first time, they have organized a conference that combines all of their popular events into one - the Materialise World Conference. It will begin on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 and will end on Saturday, April 24, 2010. Materialise 'drives your innovations' by offering opportunities to participate in educational events that allow customers to learn how other industry leaders are maximizing the software capabilities. The conference will be four days filled with presentations, case studies, networking opportunities, tours of the Materialise Industrial Services Operations (over 50 Additive Manufacturing machines), and a special walking dinner with Belgium specialties. The four days will be packed with valuable and interesting information for additive manufacturing professionals, biomedical engineers, and clinicians. In order to encourage a high level of participation, the conference is free of charge and open to everyone.

The conference will begin with the Visionary Summit on Additive Manufacturing (Wednesday, April 21, 5:30 PM). For the first time, all of the major players from the machine manufacturers and the material providers will unite to create a visionary plan for the future of Additive Manufacturing. Communicating the vision to the Summit participants will be the focus of the event beginning with a keynote speech by Terry Wohlers on how the industry can maximize the consumer market. After the presentation, he will join Wilfried Vancraen, CEO of Materialise and Martin Schäfer, Chairman of the RM Platform and Senior Engineer for Siemens, in a panel discussion. Following the panel will be a walking dinner reception for networking.
